The Christian faith

I am a Christian. A Christian is someone who recognises that men and women have turned away from listening to and obeying God and relies on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ as the only way to heal the separation.

You can read about this in Two Ways to Live--the choice we all face. A presentation of the good news of God in 6 steps.

I would urge everyone, especially those who've been wondering about Christianity or God to check it out. Even if you've decided in the past it's not for you, check it out again--what have you got to lose? You can start by reading the book of Mark, one of the books of the Bible in the New Testament. It's fairly simple to read. Make sure, if you're reading it in English, you have an easily understandable version such as the New International Version (NIV) or the Good News Bible.

The Nicene creed is one short statement of what Christians believe.

I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: ... For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written ``The righteous will live by faith.'' -- Romans 1:16-17.
