There are increasing amounts of electronic information available about
individuals: some of my main research interest projects exploit this
to build
scrutable user models that can drive personalisation.
The scrutability of the personalisation means that people can,
if they wish, scrutinise the system to see just what is personalised
and the details of the user model and the processes that formed it.
