Paul Yoo received the Ph.D. degree in engineering and information technology from the University of Sydney (USyd) in 2008. He was Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Distributed and High Performance Computing, USyd, from 2008 to 2009, and Doctoral Researcher (Quantitative Analysis) at the Capital Markets CRC, administered by the Australia Federal Department for Education, Science, and Training, from 2004 to 2008. He was with ECE Dept., KUSTAR, U.A.E. from 2009 to 2014, as Assistant Professor of Data Science.

Dr Yoo is currently Principal Academic (British equiv. Associate Professor) of Data Analytics and Digital Forensics (MSc SAS Unit Leader), Chair for Deep Computing Lab, and co-Chair for Social Informatics Group (ESOTICS) at the Department of Computing and Informatics, Bournemouth University, U.K.


Dr Yoo serves as Editor of IEEE COMML and Elsevier JBDR journals and holds over 60 prestigious journal and conference publications. Dr Yoo currently supervises 2 Postdoc, 8 PhD, and 3 Masters researchers, and is affiliated with USyd, Aristotle University, and KAIST as Visiting Professor. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and a Member of BCS.
