The following scholarships are available for students entering first year.
The Microsoft Research Asia Scholarship in IT
The Microsoft Research Asia Scholarship in IT was established in 2005 by a generous donation from Microsoft Research Asia.
The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage excellence in the field of information technology, and has a value of up to $20,000.
The closing date for applications is Friday 4th December 2009.

The CSIRO ICT Centre IT Undergraduate Entrance Scholarship
The aim of this scholarship is to encourage high-performing students entering the first year of an undergraduate course in the School of Information Technologies.
Up to two scholarships will be awarded annually to the top two students enrolling in IT degrees (BCST, BCST (Adv), BIT and BIT-combined degrees).
Valued at $2,000 each, the scholarship is tenable for one year only, and will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. No application is required.

University Wide Scholarships
The University of Sydney offers scholarships to over 800 new undergraduate students every year.
- University of Sydney Merit and Entry Scholarships $5000 per annum
- University of Sydney Scholarships for Outstanding Achievement $10,000
- University of Sydney Access Scholarships $5000 per annum
- Commonwealth Scholarships - Amount varies
