Abstract

In this talk Sanjay will introduce a new information system specifically designed to analyze, manage and leverage client data. The system, called an Information Surveillance Management System (ISMS) has three key components:

  1. an entity-matching or record linkage component to synthesize information from diverse sources in the face of uncertainty;
  2. a machine learning component to learn client behaviour over time and
  3. a privacy component to manage access to client data.

Research issues and open problems related to each of these components will be highlighted and discussed.
