Introduction

Following the traditions of previous successful ISPA conferences, ISPA03 (held in Aizu-Wakamatsu City, Japan), ISPA04 (Hong Kong), ISPA05 (Nanjing, China), ISPA06 (Sorrento, Italy), and ISPA07 (Niagara Falls, Canada), the objective of ISPA08 is to provide a forum for scientists and engineers in academia and industry to exchange and discuss their experiences, new ideas, research results, and applications about all aspects of parallel and distributed computing and networking. ISPA08 will feature session presentations, workshops, tutorials and keynote speeches.

ISPA-08 is sponsored by IEEE Technical Committee on Scalable Computing (TCSC) and IEEE Computer Society.

Scope and Interests

The Conference invites papers on all aspects of Parallel/Distributed Computing and Networking, and their applications. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Computer Networks
  • Network routing and communication protocols
  • Parallel/distributed systems
  • Development Tools and environments for software development
  • Parallel/distributed algorithms
  • High performance and distributed systems and applications
  • Wireless networks, mobile and pervasive systems
  • Reliability, fault-tolerance, and security
  • Performance evaluation and measurement
  • Grid and cluster computing
  • Internet computing and Web services
  • Database applications and data mining
  • High-performance scientific and engineering computing

Submission Information

The conference and workshop proceedings will be published by IEEE CS Press to be indexed by EI. Papers not exceed 15 pages with free layout style should be submitted through: http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=ispa08

Submission of a paper should be regarded as a commitment that, if the paper be accepted, at least one of the authors will register and attend the conference. Otherwise papers will be removed from the IEEE CS digital library.

Workshop Proposals

We encourage researches to submit their workshop proposals (according to the guidelines available at ISPA-08 web site to Dr Hai Jiang (hjiang@cs.astate.edu), Dr Tao Li (taoli@ece.ufl.edu), or Dr Jinjun Chen (jchen@swin.edu.au) with the subject "ISPA-08 WORKSHOP PROPOSAL".
